I love these shots of Samantha because the only thing I could think of as she was posing, was that she resembled one of the colorful and eccentric characters from a Quentin Tarantino film. as a director, he has made a lot of questionable decisions around the representation of actors of color, so it's satisfying to be able to create my own representation through these photos. In my head now, this character with white barrettes and an orange blazer is real, and I treasure it.
