Charis Li, aka Passion Craze's fashion line "捐窿捐罅" (a Cantonese saying which expresses the process of traversing through hidden pathways to arrive at a final destination) reflects the essence of Hong Kong with food culture. It symbolises the colours and textures of street food, which can be found in the deep alleyways of Hong Kong, hidden from the public. Through photographing this collection, I was intentional about capturing the pieces within the context of a bustling Hong Kong environment. Just like how street food is often nestled into the heart of the city, I wanted to make sure the models and garments were also surrounded by the rich culture that is unique to the Hong Kong street scene.
