This project is about the Hollywood trope on Asian women concentrating on the depiction of Asian women's hair. Having dyed or coloured hair equals a rebellious personality whereas having black straight hair equals a submissive character. These stereotypes are harmful to the Asian community, and I wanted this project to celebrate Asian hair and show that we don't conform to these stereotypes.
