This shoot was inspired by a conversation I had with an East Asian friend a few weeks before quarantine. She said she was afraid to travel for college tours 1) because of the virus and 2) because she could get attacked as a result of it. That was when I realized that this virus is affecting more than just our health and I noticed the horrifying amount of hate crimes taking place. Its absolutely ridiculous to me how often people turn to racism in times of crisis.
