For his Fall/Winter 2023 collection, Phillip Lim revealed his collaboration project with photographer Jiro Konami, "New York City Vibration."
For the first time, Lim opened his work for the public to see during New York Fashion Week. Wanting to reveal a different take on fashion week, he collaborated with Jiro Konami to create an exhibition of their work to display the essence of New York City and the community. The opening was a private event on Friday night with Lim’s close ones and friends in the industry invited.
Many guests arrived wearing pieces from his previous collections, including his famed bags and his SS23 embellished chino. The walls were projected with Kironami’s immersive photography as guests started to fill up the gallery. Excitement filled the air from the start of New York Fashion Week and Lim’s collaboration debut for the public.
The exhibition was open to the public over the weekend from February 11 to 12, with visiting hours from 12 to 5 PM. Everyone was welcome to see how Lim views the beauty of NYC.
