Fans flocked Los Angeles’s The Echo on Tuesday night, anticipating Tamil-Swiss Priya Ragu's opening show of her run in North America. A monumental moment, Priya Ragu's first performance in the United States captivated fans with electric songs and contagious energy.

The ethereal Raissa opened for the show, owning the stage with hyper pop beats. She felt every song she played, head-banging to the rhythms. She got the audience fired up and ready for Priya Ragu.

As Raissa left the stage, fans cheered in anticipation of Priya. The music slowly faded, leaving us in silence.

Then, Priya Ragu entered the stage, oozing with swagger. Donning baggy shorts and black sunglasses, she grabbed the mic as the audience roared in excitement.

Ragu brought R&B and her Tamil roots to the stage. Talking to the fans around me, I found that Priya Ragu was more than a singer to many - she was also a source of inspiration and representation. As Ragu sang “Kamali," a powerful song about breaking generational cycles, fans chanted along with her, shaking the room with intensity.

Ragu’s energy was truly contagious, and the night left me feeling euphoric and energized. Every moment was captivating and as her set ended, fans were begging for an encore. Priya Ragu is heading for the charts.

You can now stream Priya Ragu’s latest single, Illuminous, released on March 3rd. Tickets for her tour can be found at hwww.priya-ragu.com.
