The quintet tap into their Indian and Marco’s Cuban heritage, cultivating an eclectic mix of each individual's taste. Layering hypnotic harmonies, shimmery guitar, and thumping drums, Weston Estate forms a disorienting lofi-alternative sound, heavy with fervid vocals, surging emotions, and adolescent heartbreak. On photographing the event, Alia says that the energy was vibrant, young and supportive, where “I had never seen young girls screaming their heads off for an Asian American band before, but it gave me hope. I think there was a lot of hope and pride in the air.” With soulful pop-rock-hip-hop Maasho and bedroom R&B greek opening, the artists composed a colorful, charismatic night bursting of small-town talent.
